PPE Buying Guide: How to Choose the Right Safety Gear for Your Team
The first time I was put in charge of PPE ordering, I thought I had a handle on it. Safety glasses, earplugs, hi-vis vests—how hard could it be? Five years and 400 employees later, I can tell you exactly how hard it is.

Scenario 1: Your Team Needs Hearing Protection
Noise-induced hearing loss is permanent, and it's among the most common workplace injuries. OSHA sets the exposure limit at 90 dBA for an 8-hour shift, with action required at 85 dBA. If your facility has machinery, pneumatic tools, or even a busy packaging line, hearing protection belongs on your order list.
The question everyone asks is "what are the best earplugs?" The better question: "what will my team actually wear all shift?"
